Welcome to Son of a corner.
I started this project as a way to get out of the daily stress by joining two of the things that give me the most satisfaction in life, data visualization, and football, or the naughty word for it, soccer.
As of today, June 9th of 2022, I'm still unsure of what the ultimate goal of this project will be. For now, it's just a little corner of the internet where I wish to share my passion for data and football with the world. And heck, if I can help you learn a thing or two about either of those things, I'll consider the effort poured into this website a success.
What do I get if I subscribe?
Honestly, I don't know the full extent of it yet.
In the past few months, I've gathered a small following around my Twitter profile where I share visuals and matplotlib tutorials focused on football data. So, for starters, I'll be running a weekly newsletter with a featured data visual and the code behind it.
With that in mind, there are a ton of things I want to do. For example, the first one on my bucket list is creating a predictive model for football matches focused on the English Premier League and La Liga.

In what sometimes can be a crazy and depressing world, you've helped me find a corner of the world in which I can express myself, be creative, and feel supported. There are no words I can put into this (virtual) piece of paper that can express my gratitude for your support.
Will I get charged if I subscribe?
No.
The main purpose of it all is to create a collection of freely accessible resources that can be shared, consulted, and built upon by the community.
However, I do plan – hopefully, sooner than later – to launch a paid membership program that supports the free content I put out on this website and grants members with some special perks.
