Jon Ollington is a massive inspiration for beautiful visualizations in the football analytics space, and I've been wanting to recreate this visual for quite some time now.
It was a bit harder than I imagined, but I think I managed to get something close to his original artwork.
Look at that shot map from Leonardo Fernandez, that man really likes to test his luck 😂
